Production Manager - Reading, PA (Evening Shift)
Guided by the vision, values and culture of Sun Rich,
and the short and long-term business strategies and
goals, the Production Manager is responsible for
managing the daily productivity of the facility;
ensuring health and safety of our people and our
products; and achieving budgeted targets for Raw
Material yields, labor, packaging, chemicals usage and
other aspects of COGS.
Specific Responsibilities:
-
Achieves budgeted targets for Raw Material
yield, labor, packaging, chemicals usage and
other aspects of COGS within their area of plant
responsibility
-
Oversees the management of hourly employees to
ensure customers needs are met
-
Drives productivity, quality and safety
initiatives throughout production to impact
productivity and the cost structure
-
Responsible for Safety Program success
-
Ensures production is in compliance with Sun
Rich QA standards, SOPs, HACCP, and GMPs
-
Ensures that all third party audit scores
achieve an excellent rating
-
Ensures that all regulatory requirements
relating to the Reading Labor & Standards are
followed
-
Participates in building and sustaining our
positive employee culture and positive employee
relations.
Education & Technical Skills
-
Experience in a food manufacturing facility
-
Supervisory experience
-
Working knowledge of GMPs and food safety
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability
to help people do their best
-
The ability to communicate in Spanish is an
asset
